Charlie Orr
A native of South Carolina, Charlie grew up in a stable, loving home. He was successful in athletics as a high school student and attended college on an athletic scholarship. After college and following several years of destructive involvement in the drug/counter culture of the 70's, he realized he desperately needed a change in his life. After many attempts to find the answer, he accepted Christ as his personal Savior at the age of 25.

Education
He yielded to God's call to preach 2½ years later and in 1978, Charlie attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and then, Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary. He graduated with a Master of Divinity degree in 1983.
Ministry Experience
Since that time, he has served in various staff positions in 7 different churches
throughout 5 states. He has served in three senior pastorates that has uniquely
equipped him with 16+ years pastoral experience, the last of which was for
almost 9 years. Outside of pastoral ministry, Charlie has preached hundreds of
revival meetings and evangelistic crusades in the USA, Europe, Africa and
Canada.
Charlie is an expository preacher with a bold, honest, and
passionate message from the Bible that addresses the true
needs of the individual and the church. Through the heart of a
man who has faced deep waters of difficulty, who has been
privileged in his early years to pastor a church through real
revival fires and who has seen the power of God consistently
transform defeated lives...comes a victorious challenge to faith and intimacy with Christ no matter what the cost.
Current Ministry
He is director of Crosspurpose International ministries, a non-profit, faith ministry that is in its 8th year of operation. Crosspurpose's goal is the propagation of the Word of God directed at revival and missions through preaching, teaching, music, and media. Charlie also currently serves on the Advisory Board for Herald of His Coming and the Ron Susek Evangelistic Association. He is on the Advisory Board for Revival and Missions International as well.
Charlie’s unique testimony of college athlete turned drug pusher has been featured in magazine articles by Back to the Bible Broadcast, The Shantyman (Canada), and Herald of His Coming, 'The Right Choice' which has further reprinted and distributed the story for use as an evangelistic tool in over 23 countries. “The Greatest Escape” article has been dramatized and aired by the Unshackled radio program from Pacific Garden Mission, Chicago, Illinois. His testimony has also been featured on the “Old Time Gospel Hour” TV broadcast with Dr. Jerry Falwell.
Charlie and his wife Paula, have two children and 3 grandchildren.
