Dear Friends,
Crosspurpose International has an immediate opportunity to minister through a Bible college and at native local churches in Hararee, Zimbabwe during November 10—18, 2006. Revival and Missions International director, Dr. Joe Youngblood has invited Charlie to teach “The Art of Expository Preaching” to 67 native pastors throughout an intensive week-long training course.
Charlie will teach structured lessons for 5 hours each day throughout the 5 day class. This will allow the attending pastors to learn how to preach Bible truths with the expository method as well as earn credits toward their pastor’s training degree. At night, Charlie will also have opportunities to preach at area churches in Hararee.
Since the need for this type of pastoral training course became apparent just recently, it is necessary to raise the necessary funds for the trip within 3 to 4 weeks. The total for this mission trip is $2, 995 that includes airfare, housing and travel within Zimbabwe for Charlie. This is a unique opportunity that can result in reaping a future harvest through indigenous pastors who hunger to learn how to preach the Word of God effectively to their own people.
We ask you to pray about how you can support this unique missionary effort. The need is great in Zimbabwe where many Christian pastors and laypeople are too poor and too oppressed politically to receive Christian training any other way. If you or your church would like to be a part of this training project, please contact Crosspurpose International by October 31. We look forward to hearing from you in the near future. God bless you for your faithful prayers and financial support of this ministry.
In His Service,
Charlie Orr
